The UFO / Alien Abduction . Fact or Fiction ? You Decide.
In this section I will give my take on the alien abduction reports. I will also show in detail how the abductees reports nearly always match in incredible ways. I will also show that alien abductions have possibly been going on long before the famous "Betty and Barney Hill Case" of 1961.Lets take a closer look at this fascinating and always disturbing scenario.

The UFO abduction phenomenon has put a much greater concern on the issues of modern day ufology. It not only validates the sightings people see in the skies above, but it actually puts into ones minds eye an actual alien presence here on earth that is interacting with everyday human beings. People of all races, backgrounds, and nationalities are claiming to have come face to face with actual beings from an undisclosed origin.
For the most part, most people scoff at the claims made by these abductees. For most, the chances of an actual UFO or abduction turning out to be anything less than a psychological hallucination or a mistaken observation made by a poor observer is very far fetched indeed. It becomes even more “far fetched” if one puts an unearthly tone to this scenario.
I have seen this reaction by people first hand. I have asked randomly different people of different origins and backgrounds one simple question. “Do you believe it is possible, not fact, just possible that their may be another form of intelligent life in our universe and that we are possibly being visited by these beings?”(Note that I have made my question quite clear about possibly being visited not a factual statement of being visited.) Most replies that I receive on this one question begins with the same results. Usually the person looks at me in dismay and begins to chuckle under their breath, then the reply goes into the reasons that this is “so ridiculous” and “how could anyone think this is possible”. I get the feeling also that I fit in their category of what they believe as an idiot.
Lets get this straight, not all people that I ask this simple question disagrees with it entirely, but for the most part usually over half will not entertain such a notion. The other half of those half of people wont even consider talking about it. Why? I’m not truly sure what the answer to this question is. I can handle someone not believing a certain situation to be factual, but it is hard for me to tolerate those people who steadfastly refuse to even entertain the idea at all. The answer to people dismissing this all together perhaps lies within each person individually. It may be dismissed because of great fear of the unknown, or possibly it lies in the fact that these people feel out of control if they are made to entertain these issues at hand. Here again fear rises to the occasion out of feeling out of control. Most people no matter who they are or where they come from like to have a sense of control in their lives, it is their “safe zone” and anything that possibly could disturb or alter their “safe zone” is not good and automatically brings fear and uncertainty in their lives.
We also must look at how people were brought up as children and what values they were taught as well as religious practices they have come to believe over the years. For myself, I am a Christian, but I do not scoff at other possibility that life has to bring that simply doesn’t go along with my fundamental beliefs in God and other religious practices that I may have. For instance, I believe that God, the one true God, created all of the heavens and the earth simply by a spoken word. (There may be many who don’t believe this either.) Since God created all of the heavens and earth and all the living things in it, doesn’t that mean that God also could have created other life forms we are not aware of? Sure it does. Just because the Bible doesn't speak on the topic of another possible race other than humans that God has created, simply doesn't mean it wasn't created. Where in the Bible does it speak of dinosaurs? No where. To be exact, it never mentions Noah putting a dinosaur or anything close to it on the ark before the great flood either. Ive never seen a depiction of Noah's ark in a painting or whatever that shows him loading a , lets say..a Tyrannosaurus Rex onto the boat. So where does this all come in? The answer to that question is we simply don't know. But we know for a fact that dinosaurs did exist. The Bible does plainly speak of how God created all the living things in the heavens and the earth, so that should cover like it says, "all living things", that would definitely include such creatures as dinosaurs and other intelligent life elsewhere. To be honest, there are events in history that are simply unknown to us. Probably some of that history if it were known ,would be harder for people to believe than the subject at hand. As I see it, people want to mold their personal lives and all that it involves including religion, general beliefs and the past, together to make it “fit” for them, so they can have what they call “peace of mind”.One cannot make everything in life, knowns and unknowns, fit perfectly into one basket to suit their personal needs, for there is so much more that involves us and could effect us if we don’t start changing our views on such and instead of running from fear of the unknown it is wiser to look past what hinders us and to strive to meet uncertainty head on.
On the other side of the spectrum there are people, just like you and me, believers and non-believers alike in the UFO phenomenon that have had life changing experiences. They can no longer “run” from the idea of life existing elsewhere in our vast cosmos. They cannot ignore what has happened. These people are haunted day and night over incidents that have occurred to them totally against what they have learned to believe to be true and false throughout their lives. For most it is like a nightmare that they can never awake from, to a few it is the beginning of an enlightening process even though it still frightens them terribly. Whatever these incidents hold for each individual that experiences it, it is a life-changing event. This is more than a mere unidentifiable object that one can easily dismiss. These people have come to realize that they have been interacting with other intelligent life forms, against their own wills for some time, and in some cases their whole lives. These are the abductees.
The alien abduction phenomenon has been going on for millennia. It is not a new saga in the unexplained events of our lives as some see fit to believe. In the earliest days there were really no written account of such events, but they were recorded in drawings and symbols. At this time this is how early humans communicated beyond the spoken word, as we today write books or write journals to capture our life’s events. As time went on written languages were developed and like before, the abductions continued, and so people were able to write what they saw or had experienced.
Lets look at a more modern day event that took place back in 1961. I am very sure that most people remember this event, and for even the younger group of people out there you probably have at least read or heard of it. It is the single event in modern times that all abduction incidents are to be judged, the Betty and Barney Hill UFO abduction. Against popular belief this isn’t the first recorded account of abduction by extra-terrestrials, however it is was the most investigated account at that time. It gained popularity through the mainstream of reporters and the news media. The two victims Barney Hill and his wife Betty Hill were ordinary run of the mill folks, they were of very good character and their stories captivated people all over the world. This story grew in popularity, as did the Hills themselves. If anyone had any skepticism about the factual nature of this account, Dr. Simon put all of that to rest after the Hills recalled their truly horrifying experience under hypnosis. If you are one that is interested in this event I urge you to read the book “Captured!” by Kathleen Marden (Betty Hills niece) and physicist Stanton Friedman. It is an excellent written account of the Hills encounter with fact-based information. I will not go into details of this book other than you need to read it, it is a marvelous piece of work.
Today when people here of a “UFO abduction case” their mind usually brings up the Hills case, I guess this is why many think of it as the very first event. Like I said before though, abductions of human beings have been reporter in some detail throughout history of mankind. In early days it was reported that people saw strange objects in the heavens and at times people were taken from the earth by a beam of fire or light. A person can look in the bible and find scriptures that coincide with what people report as having been abducted in todays world. Ezekiel being the most referred to. It is fact that all of the abductions and all of the reports we get today closely resemble each other in some aspects. These incidents and reports that we have are far too many to be merely coincidence. There are cave drawings that have been uncovered in the recent past that show a depiction of a type of humanoid being or beings that very closely resemble the reports of what has been described as the gray species of alien that has been reported all over the world to this very day.
There is also proof that has been found that ancient civilizations had a working knowledge and a complex understanding of the stars and galaxies, they had this knowledge but had no other means of exploring the vast cosmos, not even a crude telescope had been developed. This shows favor that these ancient people were visited and taught by unearthly beings. That is the only explanation when one rules out all of the possibilities and the technology that these people had to work with at that time.
I have to say that the abduction phenomenon is a very complex one indeed. There have been many interesting cases throughout history. Back to modern days, there are many well-documented events since the Betty and Barney Hill case was made public. There is the case of Travis Walton, who was reported abducted in 1975 from a work site where he worked as a lumberjack. This man went missing for five solid days and was returned. He has suffered emotional set backs as well as horrifying recalls of his abduction. Another important aspect of this individual case is that he had witnesses with him on that evening when he was taken. Later, all witnesses including Mr. Walton himself, all took and passed two separate polygraph exams.
Another important incident may need to be noted here as well. The event that took place on the Manhattan Bridge that Budd Hopkins did a complete investigation on and also wrote the book “Witnessed” it was the abduction of Linda Cortile from here bedroom apartment window. This event has great significance due to the fact that a second party of people witnessed this abduction. Some of these people were related in the abduction themselves and others were not. This is another book that I suggest that you read. It is backed by eyewitness accounts and Mr. Hopkins does an complete and thorough investigation of the events as well as the victims.
As we can see the case for the alien abduction phenomenon is backed by strong testimony and hard facts. It is hard to imagine such a thing transpiring in the world we know, but there are many things that go on among us everyday that we cant put into one of our favorite categories, “the knowns”. I expect that this phenomenon will continue as it has for years upon years and that peoples lives, ordinary people, will have to endure some of the same incidents as described earlier. Now we have mainstream professionals helping victims to cope with such encounters. Psychologist and Psychiatrist are now involving victims of the abduction phenomenon into their practices. There are support groups and counseling sessions available. Budd Hopkins has a group “ The Intruders Foundation” which explores these areas of events. Dr. John Mack also leads a group to help explore this area of concern as well. So for now we are left with scattered bits of knowledge on this matter, but we are making progress into finding the roots of its cause and to make more facts on this subject known. Is it aliens from another world? Or is something within all of our psyches that chooses to surface in certain individuals? These are the answers we seek to bring peace to the ones who need it most, the abductees, and to possibly educate all humans on this very real phenomenon.
Astounding Eye-Witness Accounts add up to more than just casual coincidence.
This section describes multiple upon multiple descriptions of people from all over the world that have claimed to have come into face to face contact with humanoid entities as well as having experienced first hand, technology from another place other than earth as they know it. Lets take a look at such reported and common testimony of these individuals together. Note that these reports all collaborate in extreme fashion.
All abductees usually have the experience of being abducted during the night or the wee hours of the morning. There have been however abductions that have taken place in broad daylight as well. Most all report this experience beginning with the “feeling” that there is something in the room with them that is not normal. Others also report of strange lights emanating into the room from an undisclosed source. These last two scenarios, (feeling of something in the room, and a light source), is the very beginning of the abduction process. The person involved goes on to describe what they see as small, bald, figures surrounding their bed with usually no communication at this point however, it has been reported that they are telepathically told at this point by the beings that they wont hurt them.
The beings are almost always described as having some sort of one-piece tight fitting garment on. It is nearly always described as black or blue and that it resembles what we know as a jumpsuit. Caps or hoods are also reported at times. At the very beginning of the abduction process this is usually all the victim can see of their captors due to darkness in the room. Later we will describe other features that people see in clearer light.
As the abduction process continues with the beings in the room usually if the victim has a partner with them in bed the partner is rendered unconscious or is in a state of deep sleep and cannot be aroused no matter how the victim tries. It is believed that the person that may lie as witness to the actual abduction being performed is sedated in some way by the intruders. The victim at this point usually exhibits great terror and usually is said to scream and try to flee but seems to be unable to do so. It is always nearly reported that one of the beings in the room has the task of rendering the victim of being unable to fight. Victims report that one of the entities in the room is holding some sort of “rod” in its hand then it uses it to touch the victim. Upon touching this “rod” to the person the victim reports tingling and a slow enveloping sensation of becoming numb and soon totally paralyzed.
After this paralysis is achieved the person report a feeling of being floated through the air usually by a bright source of light. Also people are reported as to being floated through solid walls and structures in the house as well as the outside of the house. Sometime the victim remembers (in many cases) going into some sort of “craft” escorted by the entities themselves. Some seem to lose time between the actual transport from their personal location to the “craft “ itself.
We have now gone over the actual “act” of the initial abduction process as it is nearly always reported by the victim. The beginning of the actual abduction is one of the most terrifying portions of the whole ordeal for the victim as you could probably imagine. For the victim to wake up or as it has been reported, to have never even gone to sleep yet, and becoming aware of something or someone in the room that’s not supposed to be there is a very disturbing situation I think to everyone. Someone or something has entered your personal space unnoticed until they are actually surrounding the bed you are lying in is indeed a hair raising experience in itself I am sure. The actual feeling of being unsafe in our personal lives and the possibility of us being molested at any given time no matter where we are is an unnerving thought, but this seems to be the case in all of the reports that have been recorded throughout many, many years.
Lets now take a look at the reports of the actual visit aboard the “craft” that all of these victims report experiencing, plus other descriptions of the entities themselves as well as the initial surroundings these persons are exposed to in the “craft” itself.
The aliens or entities are described as follows. The first thing all subjects report are the eyes of the beings. They are usually described as “huge”, “black”, and very “insect like” in their appearance. They are large in per portion to the entities face and are larger at the middle of the face with a slight curve to the outer aspect of the head, kind of “almond shaped” or “tear drop shaped”. The eyes themselves are reported as having no noticeable iris or pupil and also without an upper lid. Sometimes a lower lid is reported. The eyes of the being seems to be, as far as the abductee is concerned, the central part of the entity. The eyes seem to have some sort of hypnotizing effect on all the subjects.
The head of this creature is noted always (as in the gray species), to have a major disproportion in relation to the other parts of the beings body. The head is described as large in the cranium area and sometimes more oblong toward the back of the head without any noticeable hair at all. The head comes to a near point as it forms into what is called a slight chin region. The face of the creature is without any noticeable eyebrows or any such facial hair at all. It is also noted that the creature has no noticeable outer ear (auricle), it has small orifices and indentions at the ear site itself. No distinguished nose is apparent as far as any outward protrusion is concerned. The nose is simply two small orifices located exactly where humans nostrils are located. In some reports there is a slight “bridge” of the nose just above the orifices.
The mouth is always described as a small slit like structure with no apparent outer lips noticed. The mouth gives an apparent expressionless emotion to the observer. During communication the lips do not seem to move, due to the fact that all communication from the being to the victim is through mental telepathic means however, the beings have been reported as making audible sounds “like animal sounds”, as they speak to one another. It is also reported that the mouth itself has never been seen to have as what we know as a physical tongue but does contain some sort of unidentified membrane that is used in communication and it can bee seen better when the beings are communicating one to another.
The entities overall body structure is reported as being very slightly built or “frail”. In most cases the body is compared to an “insects body”. There have been no outward reproductive organs ever seen that would describe male and female as we know it. The stature of the entities range from about 3 feet to 4.5 feet in height. Skin coloring is always reported as gray, however some report it as grayish white with a hint of a yellow hue to it. The arms are reported to be long and very thin with very little muscle tone at all. The arms fall usually below the knee area of the being. The hands are reported as long and bony looking with 3 and 4 elongated digits each. The feet of the beings are not readily described due to the fact that these creatures wear some type of boot or shoe in all cases of reports.
People often report “clothes” as described earlier. These clothes resemble what we know as a one-piece jumpsuit type and in most cases are reported to be black or blue in color. The suit itself has no reported buttons, zippers or any type of seams noted. The suit also fits very tight to the body almost like a “second skin”. There are however reports at times of the beings being without any noticeable clothes on at all.
Movements of the being themselves have been described as “robotic” in nature. The beings are also described as moving very quickly in whatever duties they may be attending to. There is also description that the beings move “in an orderly fashion” or a well organized fashion such as “military precision”.
Reports on the “craft” itself are also descriptive and usually always coincide to one another from reports all over the world. Some of these reports are as follows.
Victims report of a type of “craft” that they are taken to as looking like a huge “dome” or in many cases a “disk” or “half disk” shaped craft. Reports of long winding corridors on the craft itself are reported. Rooms on the craft are always reported as dimly lit and “metallic” having a dull gray hue. They (the rooms), are always rounded without any noticeable corners at all, it seems these are constructed of a single smooth piece of material without any distortions or any signs of being pieced together such as bolts or other forms of fasteners present. Reports of small tables and in some cases chair like structures are seen and they all seem to be an actual extension of the floor itself (all one piece). Examining tables are also seen especially during procedures that are performed on the abductees. These tables are a one-piece structure as well and are described as “hard” and “cold” to the touch. Also, reports of computer like controls are seen on the craft, and also computer overhead screens that show different images. The interior of the ship is mainly always described as “neat” and “orderly” in its appearance. Many reports from abductees also refer to a “box” that is seen or shown to them aboard the craft. This box is never opened (if it can be opened), but it seems to have a great importance to the beings themselves. This “box” has been reported by many abductees to resemble or to hold information that is very vital to us but that we are not yet ready to understand its importance.
Odors are recalled sometimes as well in the craft and around the beings. These odors are not recognizable to the abductees as anything they have ever smelled before. Aboard the craft there is reported that one being as “in charge” of all the operations of the craft itself. This entity is usually described as a bit taller than the others around 5 feet tall and more human like in facial appearance. This being is always referred to by the victims as “the leader” or the “doctor” of the ship because he is the one that always carries out the medical procedures that are reported done to each witness. The being itself never communicates that he is the leader though, it is just the impression that each abductee gets due to how procedures are orchestrated and also how the other smaller beings seem to stand aside while the “leader” is carrying on his tasks at hand.
As we can see through all of this information we have obtained from eyewitness accounts and of the abductees in general, we still have much to learn and to sort out on this incredible phenomenon. There are so many reports that have so many like attributes that are hard for even the most hard-nosed skeptic to look over entirely. These encounters have been going on for millennia and I would believe it is safe to say they will continue as before. Can we as intelligent humans dismiss all that is at hand? Can we also dismiss and call other fellow humans that have lived these encounters crazy? Is it our right to judge or ostracize these otherwise ordinary people just because they have had an unordinary experience that we know nothing of due to our own ignorance and stubbornness? You have to note that some of the abductees in the past were also unbelievers and hard-nosed skeptics until it happened to them. We have plenty of evidence against popular belief, of being visited by a force unknown. We must put aside the fear and the fear of being ridiculed by others and just take an unbiased look into the facts at hand on this ongoing enigma.
The abduction phenomenon is very interesting to me personally. I have my skepticism as many do, but a bit of healthy skepticism is worth its weight in gold. Healthy skepticism allows a person to want to investigate or get to the bottom of an issue at hand. Healthy skepticism brings the need for true facts to be found on any subject that may lie as a true mystery at any particular point in time. I don’t agree with everything that is reported or written on the abduction phenomenon, neither do I agree with all the theories on the extra-terrestrial subject in general, however I do know as well as I believe the majority of these reports are indeed very real to the persons involved and it is time to study this part of science that many have rebelled against studying just because it doesn’t “fit” with in the parameters of what I call “human science”.
